Other than state farm and alstate, american family etc… I’d like to find a good property and casualty (P & C insur) agent/person in the chicagoland area. I know there is a brand name charge built into those major companies, and would like to find cheaper alternatives for my mortgage clients.

AAA (auto club) gives me good rates for both my home and rental property.

I live in illinois in a city I am starting a cleaning business I ahve searched the internet and called around to different insurance companys and got a quote from state farm they want $1000 up front for the year and will not take installments. I was under the impression that the insurance I needed was less expensive. hellllp!!! please help me find something better.

I clean small offices, have for years. The internet isn’t the best way to shop for Insurance. Let your fingers do the walking and call EVERY insurance agent in the phone book because the price does vary a lot! It may take some time but will be worth it. Plus you may pick up a customer!
Since you’re starting, you may want to check the links in My Profile-I have a Squidoo lens and blog with lots of resources and tips!

When I bought my house it came with a home warranty for a year which could theroeticaly last forever if I kept renewing it. With this plan I had for the house if the fridge would break the company would fix it. If the water heater broke they would fix it. Is there something like that for boats whereas if the engine stopped working someone could come out and fix it after paying a deducatable.

I agree with Aaron.

I don’t know of any. I always say, "a boat is a hole in the water you throw money into."

I did find a good boat Insurance company. Last summer I breached the hull and the insurance company replaced it instead of patching it.
