If there are different types of disability Insurance, please just recommend one for me. Again, all I need is a number. I am not looking for an "It depends on…" answer. Thank you.
Long term disability, with a six month waiting period, use $4500 a year.
It won’t be off by much, assuming by engineer, you mean, desk job – and not a petroleum engineer going offshore.
