I never said EVERYONE had to have Flood Insurance….I was stating that federally mandated insurance IS CONSTITUTIONAL as upheld by the supreme court.
Actually, if you had bothered to learn something about the National Flood Insurance Program – you are not mandated by the government to buy the insurance.
You are only required to get flood Insurance under specific circumstances. Examples are if you get a government subsidised mortgage in a flood area or if you make a disaster claim to FEMA for flood damage.
You have to admit that it is perfectly reasonable for the government to require insurance in return for these benefits.

I think that’s if you live in a FLOOD ZONE. Choose not to live in one, and you don’t have that problem.

If you live in a flood prone area…then you should buy flood insurance…..But there is no law that forces EVERYONE in America to buy flood insurance…
