Is it illegal to rent a home to someone in the state of Texas without homeowners Insurance?

Even if it is not illegal, it is stupid. Say someone rented your property, and then fell and got hurt. Either you would have to pay for everything, or they could sue you and probably get everything you own.

However, if this is a serious question based on a real situation, I would suggest contacting an attorney. Anyone could pretend to be an attorney on here and tell you incorrect information. Your only protection from incorrect information is to ask an attorney directly.
